Questions about switching
Is the redesign really free?
Yes. We redesign your existing website at no upfront cost. The only ongoing charge is your plan's monthly fee, from £19.99 a month, for hosting, support and unlimited edits, with a 10-day free trial before billing starts.
Which websites can you redesign?
Any existing site, whether it's on Wix, Squarespace, WebHealer, GoDaddy or WordPress, or was built by an agency or a friend. If you only have a directory profile, we can build your first proper website instead.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
We set up redirects from your old page addresses to the matching new pages, so search results and saved links keep working, and we keep the content that's already doing well. No one can guarantee rankings after any change, but redirects are the main thing that protects them.
Can I keep my domain?
Yes. You keep your existing web address and we handle switching it over to your new site. If you don't have a domain yet, we can provide a .co.uk domain as part of your subscription.
I'm in a contract with my current agency or builder. What happens?
That's fine. We can build your new site while your contract runs and switch over when you're free to leave. Let us know when it ends and we'll plan the timing with you.
My current site has more than 5 pages. Is that a problem?
Not usually. We'll bring across the pages that matter, merging where it helps. If you genuinely need a couple more, just ask. If you'd like dedicated pages for specific topics or locations, our Growth plan includes up to 10.
Can I keep parts of my current design?
Yes. Tell us what you like, whether that's your colours, logo, photos or particular wording, and we'll build around it. If you'd rather start fresh, that's fine too.
Will my website go offline during the switch?
No. Your current site stays live while we design the new one and you review it. We only switch your domain over once you've approved the new site, with no downtime.
How long does a redesign take?
Your first draft is usually ready within 24–48 hours of your design brief on Essentials, or within 4 days on Growth, which includes your topic and location pages. Going live then depends on how many changes you'd like and how quickly your domain can be switched over.
Is there a contract, or can I cancel any time?
No contract. Cancel free during the 10-day trial, or afterwards whenever you like, and billing stops when you do.
